The only place we don’t talk is when we are inside an elevator.
Well, this is purely my own observation but I am somehow intrigued by this. Whenever I enter an elevator full of people, all kept to themselves, most of the times.
All we do is, looking at the lift panel, observing which floor is up next. The silence is really deafening that you can almost hear your own breathing.
Just imagine, we are inside a cubicle (no larger that a bathroom) hanging by a cable, with strangers most of the times, and all eyes are strain on the panel. And nobody talks.
However, our hotel’s staff elevator do come with reading material, making our rides more pleasurable.
