KPI and teh tarik

What do KPI (key performance index) and teh tarik have in common? Let me give my 2 cents worth opinion.

Recently, Home Ministry declared that the department managed to clear 140,000 backlog cases involving PR status, entry permits, blah blah blah. It also proudly announced that the feat is achieved ahead of 2 months schedule.

Due credit has to be given to our Minister, Hishammudin and our PM for initiating KPI.

Funny part is, all these backlog cases were between 1997 and 2006. A total of 12 years!!

So my question is, what were they doing back in 1997?

I guess the staff had so  much time on their hands that “teh tarik” sessions were the norm. Work? Nanti lah..jom teh tarik dulu..

No wonder, recent paper stated that 15% of adult population (30 years and above) have diabetes and some of them dont even realise they have diabetes.

note: A glass of teh tarik is equivalent to 6 teaspoons of sugar!! According to report, we consumed 24 teaspoons of sugar per day.. Guess I am going for teh O kosong suam from now on.
