I was asked to be witness for my youngest sister’s engagement last Saturday.
It took place at Thean Hou temple and I supposed it was an auspicious date to get hitched. I was practically drowned in the army of well wishers!
Sister took her “queue” number and we waited to be called to make it official.
For each couple, it took a good 20 to 25 minutes to make it legally “man and wife”.
When it was my sister’s turn, she and her future husband make it as swift as possible until her other half “accidentally” signed on the “witness” column. Glares were exchanged briefly before the rings.
Kisses planted on lips and its done deal.
